CULTIVATE STYLIST JOB DESCRIPTION
Cultivate Salon stylists provide beauty salon services to our clientele. Stylists are responsible for providing excellent services, maintaining a professional working environment, and establishing a robust recurring client base. All stylists must be present and ready to service in the salon during Cultivate Salon hours of operation to maximize personal income from our walk-in base.
Compensation
• Stylists may choose a booth rent OR a commission-based option. We provide 3 flexible options to accommodate all financial situations.
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• All stylists must be up-to-date with appropriate licenses and/or certifications upon hiring
Requirements
• Must have at least 1 year of experience styling and maintaining "natural hair"
• Must be able to operate with professionalism and composure when servicing demanding clientele.
• Eager to work toward ambitious goals - especially building a robust, recurring clientele.
• High level of taking initiative and professional responsibility with little direction from management.
• Strong organizational skills such as proactively balancing personal and professional life commitments.
• Record of achievement in academics, leadership, and/or employment.
• Must have reliable means of transportation.
***PLEASE NOTE***
• Our salon DOES NOT allow stylists to perform relaxers and other damaging haircare services.
• We can DO ALL hair styling and maintenance (including hair straightening), but we perform them with all natural products using non-damaging techniques.
